New Fee for Intermodal Trains Held Short of Customer Facility Effective February 1, 2009

Effective February 1, 2009, BNSF is adding a service fee for intermodal customers requiring BNSF to hold whole or partial trains outside the customer’s facility.

Customer Capacity – Holding of Intermodal Trains
Customer action or inaction that causes intermodal trains to be held outside a customer’s intermodal receiving location because of capacity issues or other delays will be charged for above-standard service:
· The rate is $75 per well per day for each well car set held waiting for placement
· The charge will be based on each 24-hour period, or fraction thereof, and will start the first hour after notification and continue until BNSF is advised space is available
