BNSF has been making improvements to the Rail Central tool in the secure bnsf.com based on your feedback. Beginning today, you will see enhancements to Rail Central that improve your ease of use and navigation.

Enhancements include:
· New icons and layers in the Map view based on customer traffic type
· New toolbar buttons for quick access to commonly used functions
· Ability to copy and paste information from Rail Central to other applications (i.e. Excel)
· New wildcard feature for improved search in the Bill of Lading filter (substitute ‘x’ for any letter or ‘#’ for any number)

In addition, carload customers can now view Shipment Handling Instructions in the Carload Pipeline tool in Rail Central. These are the instructions BNSF crews use to properly place railcars at customer facilities, based on facility layout, car type, commodity and more. See these instructions in your existing and new reports within the tool.
