The Union Pacific Railway reported a train derailed at Cliff, California Sunday, May 5, 2013. This location is
approximately 30 miles south of Bakersfield, California. BNSF trains operate over this segment of track and
cannot advance until a route is open.
UP personnel are currently working to reopen this lane and estimate the track will reopen Monday, May 6,
2013 at 8:00 am CT. BNSF will continue to provide additional information as it becomes available.
