Final Report: Derailment at Sandpoint, ID
On Friday, March 17th, 2017 at 7:08 a.m. CST, we received a preliminary report that train E-RBCSCM0-28 derailed on the Montana Rail Link (MRL) main tracks near Sandpoint, ID. Sandpoint, ID is approximately 76 miles northeast of Spokane, WA. The siding track was returned to service on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. CST. The main track was returned to service on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at 5:30 p.m. CST.
