Billing Enhancement to Pay-for-Proposal Dimensional Clearance Request Program

In a Marketing News on February 18, 2009, BNSF announced a new Pay-for-Proposal model to improve the efficiency of the dimensional clearance request process. In an effort to make the process easier, customers will now have an additional billing option.

Effective Tuesday, May 26, 2009, customers who have credit with BNSF will have the option of being billed for clearance requests, instead of paying immediately via credit card. The two options will display at the time of request submittal on bnsf.com. Choosing “Continue with Credit” will send you a miscellaneous charges bill for the clearance.

If you do not have credit with BNSF, you will continue to be required to pay for requests with credit card through the “Continue with Credit Card” option. To become a credit customer, click here to apply for credit.
