New Inspection Checklist Now Available for Heavy Duty Customers

BNSF requests that all shippers utilizing QTTX and KRL heavy duty railcars follow a new, easy-to-read inspection checklist before loading. Following this checklist will help prevent shipment delays and loaded cars from being bad ordered for defects which may require transload for repair.

Prior to loading, customers should check their railcars against the list, ensuring there are no missing, broken, or leaking parts. If questions arise during the inspection process, please do not continue with loading. If the railcar is defective and requires replacement, please contact the BNSF Equipment Team (FlatsandGonds@bnsf.com).

If there are any questions encountered during the inspection process, please contact the BNSF Open Top Loads Team (OpenTopLoads@bnsf.com) or Equipment Quality Manager Rod Luft (Rodney.Luft@bnsf.com) for clarification.
