Update Report: Mud Slides on Northwest Division

As stated in the initial Service Advisory dated November 20, 2012, BNSF service has been impacted by mud slides in the Pacific Northwest region of our network. BNSF established a Command Center to oversee round-the-clock coverage of this area, which is expected to continue to experience heavy rain and high winds over the next 48 hours. Partial service was restored this morning, but heavy rain has slowed track work and created conditions conducive to additional mud-slides.

Traffic moving through Seattle, Everett, and Wenatchee, Washington will experience delays over the next 48 hours.

BNSF will provide updates as additional information becomes available. Updated shipment information is available through the secure Rail Central web tool at bnsf.com.
