Update: Derailment at Casselton, North Dakota
At 2:10 p.m. Central time on December 30, 2013, GRYLRGT926 derailed on Main track 1 and impacted UFYNHAY405, causing it to derail on Main track 2 just west of Casselton, North Dakota. Casselton, North Dakota is 25 miles west of Fargo, North Dakota.
The estimated time of opening for both tracks is 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, January 1, 2014.
BNSF Operations is rerouting trains via three subdivisions which feed into and out of Fargo and Dilworth, North Dakota. Select coal and merchandise trains are also being rerouted via the line from Aberdeen, South Dakota to Laurel, Montana. Select oil trains are being routed through Sheridan, Wyoming.
