Initial Report of Derailment Near Gainesville, TX
On Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at 8:30 p.m. Central Time, BNSF received an initial report that a loaded taconite train derailed near Gainesville, TX blocking the main track. Gainesville, Texas is 65 miles north of Fort Worth, Texas and 138 miles south of Oklahoma City, OK.
BNSF responders are en route to the scene. At this time we do not have an estimated return to service.
