Updated Report: Derailment near Black Bear, Oklahoma

As mentioned in the Service Advisoryissued earlier today, a UP merchandise train, F-HOWT1-25, has derailed 18 cars on BNSF Railway main track near Black Bear, Oklahoma at 9:45 AM CDT on Thursday, September 27, 2012. Black Bear, Oklahoma is 72 miles north of Oklahoma City and 49 miles east of Enid, Oklahoma.

It is estimated the main track will be restored to service at 6:00 PM CDT tomorrow, September 28. BNSF will continue to provide you with additional information as it becomes available. Customers may experience delays of 24 to 36 hours on shipments moving through this corridor.
