BNSF Carload 2012 Christmas and New Year’s Operating Plan

HOLIDAY OBSERVANCE
This year the Christmas and New Year’s holidays fall on Monday, December 24, Tuesday, December 25, Monday, December 31 and Tuesday, January 1.

TRAIN SERVICE
BNSF’s Carload 2012 Christmas and New Year’s operating plan will remain focused on meeting customers’ expectations while matching operations to any reductions in traffic volumes.

During the holiday period, carload and local terminal train service will operate according to normal schedules, sizing yard support to reflect specific customer holiday requirements.

BNSF may annul or consolidate some carload train symbols, including through, local and industry switch jobs, immediately following the holiday period.

INTERLINE TRAFFIC
Delays may occur on interline traffic if connecting carriers have reduced operations for the holidays.

CUSTOMER SUPPORT
For interactive tracing 365 days a year, please use BNSF’s Web Tracing tool at www.bnsf.com by logging in with your user name and password and selecting Track Your Shipment. For service issues, please call 888-428-2673 and select option 4, then option 3.

Customer Support will maintain a limited staff on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve until 6 p.m. Normal coverage will resume at 6 a.m. on the Wednesday following each holiday.

SHIPPING INSTRUCTIONS
Shipping instructions must be submitted via EDI or by using the BNSF Shipping Instructions Web tool at www.bnsf.com. Faxed shipping instructions are not accepted. Assistance with shipping instructions at BNSF Waybill Solutions is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Please call 888-428-2673 and select option 3, option 2 and option 3 for assistance.
