Some West Coast Merchandise Trains Re-Routed

Some West Coast merchandise trains will be re-routed due to UPRR crew shortages on the Mojave Sub which were caused by two recent derailments. Additionally, there will be a three week Maintenance of Way window on BNSF’s Gateway Sub between Keddie, California, and Klamath Falls, Oregon.

BNSF trains routed between Barstow, California and Pasco, Washington and Vancouver, Washington will be detoured over an alternate BNSF route via Denver. The re-routes will add additional running time to symbols HBARPAS, HBARVAW, HVAWBAR and HPASBAR. Operations planning will evaluate these detours early next week and provide an update.
