Final Report: Washout at Lambert, Wyoming
As reported in an earlier Service Advisory, at 7:54 p.m. Central time, July 24th, 2013, a flash flood washed out 300 feet of main track, in addition to 600 feet of track shoulder in multiple locations in Lambert, Wyoming. Lambert is 147 miles northwest of Denver, Colorado on the BNSF Front Range subdivision. This runs between Denver, Colorado and Wendover, Wyoming en route to Laurel, Montana.
The main track was returned to service at 6:00 a.m. Central Time, Friday, July 26, 2013. Customers may experience delays of 24 to 48 hours on shipments moving through this corridor.
