BNSF Carload: 2017-2018 Christmas and New Year’s Operating Plan

TRAIN SERVICE
BNSF’s Carload 2017-2018 Christmas and New Year’s operating plan will remain focused on meeting customers’ expectations while matching operations to any reductions in traffic volumes. This year, BNSF will observe the Christmas holiday on Sunday, December 24 and Monday, December 25, and the New Year’s holiday on Sunday, December 31 and Monday, January 1, 2018.

Train service will not be curtailed due to the holidays; however, BNSF plans to minimize the number of yard, local and road-switch assignments at terminals on Monday, December 25 and Monday, January 1, if specifically advised by customers that service will not be needed. Connecting carriers who have reduced operations for the holiday may cause delays on interline traffic.

CUSTOMER SUPPORT
For interactive tracking 365 days a year, please use BNSF’s Tracking tool by logging in with your user name and password and selecting Track Your Shipment. For service issues, please call 888-428-2673 and select option 4, then option 3.

Customer Support will maintain a limited staff on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve until 6 p.m. CT. Standard coverage will resume at 6 a.m. CT on the Tuesday following each holiday.
