Updated Report: Derailment at Sandpoint, ID
On Friday, March 17th, 2017 at 7:08 a.m. CST, we received a preliminary report that train E-RBCSCM0-28 derailed on the Montana Rail Link (MRL) main tracks near Sandpoint, ID. Sandpoint, ID is approximately 76 miles northeast of Spokane, WA. The siding track was returned to service on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. CST. The estimated time of opening for the main track has not been determined at this time due to additional fill work required.
