BNSFQ 112507 & BNSF 90046: Salt and Sodium Sulfate Price Adjustments Effective July 1, 2011
In addressing our customers’ needs for reliable and efficient service, BNSF continues to invest in our infrastructure and manage escalating costs. We review and adjust our transportation rates based on market conditions to support the ongoing investment and maintenance of our extensive network.
In accordance with BNSF’s Industrial Products Price Calendar, salt and sodium sulfate products in BNSFQ 112507 and BNSF 90046 will incur price adjustments effective July 1, 2011. For planning purposes, rate increases will average three to four percent (3%-4%), plus appropriate adjustments made as we rebase fuel surcharge to reflect our $2.50 HDF strike price. Also, salt and sodium sulfate products will be moving from a percentage-of-revenue fuel surcharge to mileage based fuel surcharge with the effective date of the new document. Certain individual rate increases may exceed or fall below announced levels based on market conditions. Please note that joint line price increases may vary based on foreign line requirements. As announced in a Pricing Update in July 2010, BNSF prices are being rebased to a $2.50 strike price. The fuel surcharge and credit program will apply as stated in BNSF Rules Book 6100 series, item 3376.
Rates will be posted to the BNSF Price Publications Web page prior to July 1, 2011. To view the rates, please click here.
