BNSF Finance Charges Process Changes Effective February 16, 2009

To simplify the billing process for our customers, and to make it easier to understand finance charges, BNSF is making the following process change. Effective February 16, 2009, BNSF will begin to calculate finance charges on closed bills only. The monthly finance charge statement will be sent as currently scheduled, but will only include finance charges on invoices that have been paid beyond credit terms within the previous month. With this new system, each invoice outside of credit terms will only appear on a finance charge statement once.

This change in process will not change the amount of finance charges assessed, but only when they are assessed. BNSF continues to reserve the right, in its sole discretion, to modify the terms of an Applicant’s credit or cancel entirely such credit at any time, without notice.
