Reminder: CARB Tractor Registration Required and Non-Compliance Reported
As a reminder, drayage trucks operating at California ports and intermodal rail yard facilities are required by the California Air Resources Board (CARB) to register tractors in CARB’s Drayage Truck Registry (DTR).
Also, port and intermodal rail yard facilities are required to report tractors entering their facilities that are non-compliant (i.e. not registered in the Drayage Truck Registry) to CARB, the enforcement agent.
It is the responsibility of motor carriers operating in the state of California to understand CARB regulations affecting their business. To register your tractors, or for more information on the regulations, visit the CARB website and click on “Drayage Truck Registry”, or contact CARB’s online registration support at 888-247-4821.
