New Domestic Intermodal Service Linking Pacific Northwest and Texas Beginning September 12, 2016
BNSF Railway is expanding its Intermodal service offerings by introducing a new service lane between BNSF Intermodal facilities in Seattle and Portland and its Intermodal facility in Dallas/Fort Worth located at AllianceTexas starting Monday, September 12. This new, faster service offering is the first of several new schedules to be rolled out over the next year. Comparable to single-driver, over-the-road trucking options, the new PNW - Texas service will be two days faster than any other Intermodal provider with convenient southbound schedules operating five days per week (Monday through Friday) with both Expedited (5th morning) or Standard (5th day) service. Northbound service will also be faster operating with both Expedited and Standard (6th morning) service.
With extended access to the largest markets in Texas, this new service will be available for domestic containers, trailers and temperature-controlled freight and is made possible as a result of BNSF's continued focus on expanding network capacity and service capabilities for our customers.
