CARB Tractor Registration Required By September 30, 2009
As a reminder, drayage trucks operated at California ports and intermodal rail yard facilities are required by the California Air Resources Board (CARB) to register tractors in CARB’s Drayage Truck Registry (DTR) by Wednesday, September 30, 2009.
Also effective September 30, 2009, port and intermodal rail yard facilities will be required by CARB to report the tractors entering their facilities that are non-compliant (i.e. not registered in the Drayage Truck Registry) to CARB.
It is the responsibility of motor carriers in the state of California to understand CARB regulations affecting their business. To register your tractors, or for more information on the regulations, visit the CARB Web site and click on "Drayage Truck Registry" (http://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/onroad/porttruck/porttruck.htm), or contact CARB’s online registration support at 888-247-4821.
