Embargo
Effective immediately, BNSF Intermodal has embargoed shipments containing extruder gear box and induction motor equipment and machinery from the actual shipper/beneficial owner Huidong Meixin Plastic Lumber Products Manufacturing imported by T&T Group, Inc., which previously moved from Seattle, WA and surrounding ports to various locations. Recent shipments have been found to be improperly loaded and secured, causing significant safety concerns to our employees, equipment, network, communities and other customers’ shipments. Huidong Meixin Plastic Lumber Products Manufacturing has failed to follow BNSF loading and securement requirements for these shipments. If you are aware of similar shipments or if you have any questions, please contact your Load and Ride Solutions (LARS) representative.

Properly Load and Describe
As a reminder, damage-free shipping begins with a balanced load that is properly blocked and braced. Distressed shipments due to improper weight distribution or inadequate blocking and bracing pose a significant safety concern and can result in train delay, equipment damage, failure to deliver shipments on time and intact and even injury or death. In addition to contacting the BNSF LARS team, an Intermodal Loading Guide that outlines loading and securement guidelines is available for your review.

To further combat train delays, accidents or derailments, we encourage you and your shipping partners to review the BNSF Intermodal Rules and Policies Guide. Please pay particular attention to items covering:
    Loading, blocking and bracing
    Prohibited shipments
    Restricted shipments

While in transit, if a load is observed to be leaning or in distressed condition, the load is set out for adjustment or transfer and later forwarded to destination. This results in delays to your shipment, as well as to other shipments on the train. Loads found to be improperly loaded, blocked or braced, requiring set out, are subject to charges outlined in the BNSF Intermodal Rules & Policies Guide.

By following the basic rules of secure loading, proper weight distribution, adequate blocking and bracing and completely addressing applicable Prohibited or Restricted conditions, you’ve helped facilitate safe and damage-free arrival of your shipment. For additional information or assistance, please contact your BNSF Marketing or LARS Representative.
