REMINDER: BNSF and CSX Create Seamless Intermodal Doublestack Corridor Effective February 26, 2007

The new BNSF and CSX service connecting California to Atlanta and other fast-growing Southeast markets will become effective on Monday, February 26. As a reminder, these new service options will reduce transit time by up to a day when compared with existing routes.

Northern/Southern California to/from Atlanta
Seamless single-line fifth morning service available six days of week to/from Atlanta and California with one price and one point of contact for service into the Southeast.

    The Atlanta market will be exclusively served via the BNSF Stockton and Los Angeles facilities (instead of San Bernardino).
    Effective Friday, February 23, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. for San Bernardino and 6:00 p.m. for Stockton, all eastbound units will be routed BNSF/Atlanta. Previous San Bernardino service will convert to Los Angeles (Hobart) only for Southern California.
    Effective Sunday, February 25, 2007, at 11:59 p.m. for all westbound BNSF destinations, units will be routed Atlanta/BNSF. Previous San Bernardino service will convert to Los Angeles (Hobart) only for Southern California.
    The Atlanta (Fairburn) Facility will now be classified as a Group 2 facility for purposes of storage. This information and the addition of the Atlanta (Fairburn) Facility will be updated in the BNSF Intermodal Rules and Policies Guide.
    Current chassis agreements with TRAC Lease will be required. Chassis will be supplied through a neutral pool operated by TRAC Lease at Atlanta.
    For Atlanta service, refer to the Atlanta schedules (attached).
    Southern California to/from Charlotte
    Seamless interline container option between Los Angeles and the Charlotte CSX Intermodal facility.
      The Charlotte market will be exclusively served via the BNSF Los Angeles (instead of San Bernardino) facility.
      Effective Friday, February 23, 2007, 11:00 a.m. for San Bernardino, all eastbound units ingated will be routed BNSF-Memph-CSXT. Previous San Bernardino service will convert to Los Angeles (Hobart) only for Southern California.
      Effective Sunday, February 25, 2007, 11:59 p.m. for all westbound BNSF destinations, units will be routed CSXT-Memph-BNSF. Previous San Bernardino service will convert to Los Angeles (Hobart) only for Southern California.
      For both eastbound and westbound service this will be a steel-wheel interchange connection.
      For service to Charlotte, refer to the Los Angeles to Atlanta schedules (attached).
    Northern/Southern California to/from Florida/South Carolina/Georgia
    Improved service to Florida, South Carolina and Georgia via CSX service from Memphis, allowing more options and frequency through the Memphis gateway.
      Florida, South Carolina and Georgia markets served exclusively via BNSF Los Angeles, San Bernardino and Stockton facilities.
      Effective Friday, February 23, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. for San Bernardino, all eastbound units will be routed BNSF-Memph-CSXT.
      Effective Sunday, February 25, at 11:59 p.m. for all westbound BNSF destinations, units will be routed CSXT-Memph-BNSF.
      This will initially be a rubber cross-town connection between BNSF’s Memphis Intermodal facility and CSX’s Intermodal facility.
      BNSF eastbound schedules to Memphis have been enhanced to allow you a same day cross-town connection to meet your service needs. For service to Florida, South Carolina and Georgia, refer to the enhanced BNSF Memphis schedules (see attached).
      Additional Items
        Effective February 26, 2007, to accommodate this new product offering, a few adjustments are being made to current schedules.
        These schedule adjustments will only affect the markets of Houston, Birmingham and St. Louis and are minimal in nature.
        The specific changes are included in the attached document.
