Coming Soon: BNSF Logistics Park Kansas City (LPKC) Intermodal Facility

In October 2013, BNSF will open its new, state-of-the-art, intermodal facility at the Logistics Park Kansas City (LPKC) in Edgerton, KS.

This 443-acre full-service facility will continue to offer all levels of Domestic and International Intermodal Service that are currently offered by the Argentine facility in Kansas City, KS. The LPKC Intermodal Facility is located at 32880 W. 191st St., Edgerton, KS. 66021, with direct access to I-35 via the new Homestead Lane interchange. Please see the attached map.

Designed to accommodate the growing demands of freight rail shippers, the new LPKC Intermodal Facility has the following features:

    • Six 8,000-foot strip tracks
    • 5,000 paved parking spaces - consists of both wheeled and stacking spaces
    • Five wide-span, all electric cranes
    • Automated Gate Systems - five inbound lanes and five outbound lanes
BNSF will begin transitioning service from the Argentine facility to the new LPKC Intermodal Facility in October 2013. As the opening date nears, we will send out additional communications with detailed information regarding the phased service transition dates/schedules, a map of the facility and the recommended route to and from the checkpoint.
