BNSF Intermodal Service Enhancements Between Southern California and Memphis Effective August 15, 2007

BNSF is focused on continuously improving consistency of service and providing additional enhancements into the fast growing markets of the southeast. For containers, this focus began in February 2007 when we launched our single-line service into Atlanta, GA.

Effective August 15, 2007, BNSF is now enhancing service between Southern California and Memphis, TN, by expanding our highly competitive Expedited Trailer and Premium Container products.

Expedited Trailer
This change provides an opportunity to enhance the Expedited Trailer network by aligning with customer needs to serve the southeast markets.
This service provides increased frequency from four days per week to five days per week.
Service to/from the Memphis market will now originate and terminate at our Los Angeles (Hobart), CA, Intermodal Facility, instead of San Bernardino, CA.
Trailer traffic will continue to be served at the Harvard, AR, Intermodal Facility.

Premium Container
In February 2007, BNSF initiated single-line service to serve the Atlanta, GA, and beyond markets for our Premium Container product.
Now, by consolidating service into the Los Angeles (Hobart), CA, facility, you will see increased frequency in this lane.
Service will be available six days per week and transit time reduced by a day into the Memphis market.
Service to/from the Memphis market will now originate and terminate at our Los Angeles (Hobart), CA, Intermodal Facility, instead of San Bernardino, CA.
All container traffic will be served at our Memphis, TN, Intermodal Facility.

Attached are the new service schedules for Trailers and Containers to and from the Memphis market.

If a unit is tendered at San Bernardino after the August 14 cutoff, the driver will be asked to take the unit to Los Angeles, CA.
