More Options for Your Business: BNSF Offers New and Expanded Service Between Chicago and Silao/El Paso
In BNSF's drive to offer consistent and reliable intermodal service to customers, beginning Tuesday, June 14, all units moving in and out of the Chicago, Illinois market to and from Silao, Guanajuato, Mexico and El Paso, Texas, will be originated and terminated at the BNSF Cicero, Illinois facility. The new schedule includes the following benefits:
Together, BNSF and Ferromex are addressing the transportation needs between the U.S. and Mexico's growing Bajio and Juarez markets by offering intermodal service with more options and consistent, reliable service. - An 8:00 pm CDT cut off time at Cicero, Illinois, will offer you more time for same day pick up. The extended time also allows you more time to dray your shipment to Cicero for a BNSF departure on the same day. See specific schedules
- Trailer service, currently available in the Silao lane, will also be introduced in the Cicero/El Paso lane, five-days per week.
- BNSF and FXE will continue to offer Northbound and Southbound 6th morning service between Silao and Cicero (the new destination and origination intermodal facility) as well as 3rd and 4th day morning service between El Paso and Cicero.
