BNSF Logistics Park Kansas City (LPKC) Transition Plan Update
As outlined in previous Marketing News advisories, BNSF has started transitioning from Argentine intermodal facility in Kansas City, KS to LPKC in Edgerton, KS. All international traffic originating from and destined to Southern California on-dock marine terminals, as well as all international and domestic traffic moving to and from Los Angeles, CA and Phoenix, AZ, have completed the transition.
The next phase to transition, outlined below, will involve Chicago, Texas and Seattle/Tacoma traffic, beginning January 20, 2014. Our target date for the final phase will be February 3rd.
- All Chicago IL, Texas (Alliance/Houston) and Seattle/Tacoma WA destination traffic should be brought to LPKC beginning January 20th.
- All Chicago, Texas (Alliance/Houston) and Seattle/Tacoma originating traffic should be picked up at LPKC beginning January 21st.
- Remaining traffic (Northern California) will continue to operate via Argentine until February 3rd, when the final lanes (North Bay, Stockton and Oakland) will be implemented.
