Update Report: Track Washout at Hettinger, North Dakota

On Sunday, April 12, 2009 on the Mobridge Subdivision 30 miles east of Hettinger, North Dakota, a track was taken out of service due to high water. BNSF is routing trains as necessary around this area. The track is estimated to open at 4:00 p.m. CT on Tuesday, April 14, 2009. We will continue to monitor and take proactive measures to maintain fluidity through the BNSF network. We will provide you with additional information as it becomes available.

Customers may experience delays of 48 to 72 hours on shipments moving through this corridor.
