Weather Delays Update – Floods at El Paso, Texas

At 12:30 p.m. CT Monday August 1, 2006 heavy rains and flooding caused train operations in and out of El Paso, Texas to be stopped. The single main track was taken out of service between El Paso, TX and Leasburg, TX, which is 45 miles east of El Paso. In addition, El Paso Hub closed at 3:00 p.m. CT Tuesday August 1, 2006.

The El Paso Hub was reopened at 8:00 a.m. Wednesday August 2, 2006, and the main track was restored to service at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday August 2, 2006.

Customer may experience delays of 24-36 hours on traffic moving through this corridor.
