Final Report: Washout on Aurora Subdivision

As mentioned in a Service Advisoryon May 4, 2008 train operations were impacted by a track washout on the Aurora Subdivision at approximately 10:00 p.m. CT on Saturday, May 3, 2008. Both main tracks were taken out of service at that time.

Main track two was restored to service at 7:00 a.m. CT on Sunday, May 4, 2008. Main track one was returned to service at 1:00 p.m. CT on Sunday, May 4, 2008.

Traffic volume remains high and BNSF will continue to monitor flow through this corridor to maintain fluidity.

Customers may experience delays of 24 to 36 hours on shipments moving through this corridor.
