Final Report: Derailment at Clarendon, Texas
As mentioned in a Service Advisory issued on November 22, 2008, BNSF reported that train
Q CLOALT1 21 derailed 10 cars blocking single main track at Clarendon, Texas. This
location is approximately 65 miles east of Amarillo, Texas.
The main track was returned to service at 1215 a.m., CT on Sunday, November 23, 2008. Traffic
volume remains high and BNSF will continue to monitor flow to maintain fluidity.
Customers may experience delays of 24 hours on traffic moving through this corridor due to congestion.
