Severe Weather Delays – Southeast Region
Severe weather conditions from Texas to Missouri continue to impact BNSF operations. As the result of line outages, it has been necessary to reroute high volumes of trains between Avard, Oklahoma and Springfield, Missouri. This is impacting service with our California to Memphis, Tennessee, Birmingham, Alabama, Atlanta/Fairburn, Georgia and St. Louis, Missouri lanes.
Trains destined to or originating from this region are being rerouted or detoured to the extent possible, but many are being delayed or staged until line capacity becomes available for movement.
Customers will experience delays of 48 to 72 hours on traffic moving through this region. BNSF personnel are continuing efforts to minimize customer delays. Customers will be notified as soon as additional information is available.
