Update Report: Derailment at Augusta, Kansas

As mentioned in a Service Advisory on January 12, 2008, BNSF reported a derailment in Augusta, Kansas.

Train G EDYDHT5 10 derailed twenty eight cars at Augusta blocking the main line, reroutes currently planned. The following intermodal trains were also impacted, Z RICCHI1 09 and Z KCKSBD1 12. It is estimated that one of the main tracks will be restored at 3:00 a.m. CT on Sunday January 13, 2008 and the second main track will be restored at noon CT on Sunday January 13, 2008.

Customers may experience delays of 12 to 24 hours on shipments moving through this corridor.
