Preliminary Report: Flooding Near Marceline, Missouri

        Due to high water and heavy rain, a portion of BNSF main track near Marceline, Missouri has been taken out of service on Sunday, September 14, 2008. This will affect traffic to and from Kansas City, Kansas, Los Angeles, California, and Fort Worth, Texas. BNSF is rerouting as necessary around this area.

        We will continue to monitor, assess, and take proactive measures to maintain fluidity through the BNSF network. Customers may experience delays of 24 to 48 hours on shipments moving through this corridor.
