Preliminary Report: Washout on Aurora Subdivision

We have a report that train operations have been impacted by a track washout on the Aurora Subdivision at approximately 10:00 p.m. CT on Saturday, May  3, 2008.   This  area is 150 miles west of Aurora, Illinois, between Aurora, and La Crosse, Wisconsin. Both main tracks were taken out of service at that time.   

Main track two was returned to service at 7:00 a.m.  CT with a speed restriction and main track one is estimated to be returned to service at 1:00 p.m.  CT today.      

 Customers may experience delays of 12 to 24 hours on shipments moving through this corridor.  We will continue to update you with information as it becomes available.
