Update Report Derailment at Tacoma, Washington

As mentioned in a Service Advisory issued on January 7, 2009, BNSF reported a derailment at Bull Frog Junction near Tacoma, Washington blocking access to the TMBL Railroad. The interchange track between BNSF and TMBL Railroad returned to service at 4:00 p.m. CT on Wednesday, January 7, 2009. However, the bridge at Bull Frog Junction was taken out of service due to damage from high water. BNSF does not have access to the TMBL until the bridge is returned to service. BNSF personnel are unable to repair at this time due to rushing waters.

Customers may experience delays of 36 to 48 hours on shipments moving through this corridor.
