Sub Zero Temperatures – Chicago, Illinois to Summit, Montana

Winter action plans are in place across Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Illinois as a result of an artic front of sub zero temperatures accompanied by high winds. These conditions have resulted in road closures across many line segments, hampering crew transportation. In addition the sub zero weather has resulted in train length restrictions, and required speed reductions under these conditions. Maintenance of Way windows for snow plowing operations are taking place to improve route fluidity.

Customers may experience delays, Expedited and LTL Intermodal may experience 12 to 24 hours, all other traffic 24 to 72 hours on shipments moving through this corridor.

The purpose of a Service Advisory is to provide customers with accurate, timely, and consistent information that may impact their shipments.
