Final Report: Derailment in Pica, Arizona

As mentioned in a Service Advisory on March 17, 2008, BNSF reported that trains Q NYCLAC6-14 and Z KCKNBY1-15 derailed in Pica, Arizona.

One main line was restored to service at 11:50 p.m. CT on Monday March 17, 2008 and the second main line was restored to service at 9:00 a.m. CT on Tuesday March 18, 2008. Traffic volume remains high and BNSF will continue to monitor flow to maintain fluidity.

Customers may experience delays of 12 to 24 hours on shipments moving through this corridor.
