BNSF Intermodal: 2018 Independence Day Operating Plan

TRAIN SERVICE
BNSF’s Intermodal 2018 Independence Day operating plan will remain focused on meeting customers’ expectations while matching operations to any reductions in traffic volumes. This year, the Independence Day holiday falls on
Wednesday, July 4.

BNSF will continue to operate Intermodal trains over the Independence Day holiday. However, due to lighter volumes of traffic and possible train consolidations, we anticipate that outbound and inbound shipments from Tuesday, July 3 through noon on Thursday, July 5 may experience delays of up to 24 hours. Connecting carriers who have reduced operations for the holiday may cause delays on interline traffic.

CUSTOMER SUPPORT

BNSF’s Tracking tool by logging in with your user name and password and selecting Track Your Shipment. For service issues, please call 888-428-2673 and select option 4, then option 3.

Customer Support will maintain a limited staff on Independence Day. Standard coverage will resume on Thursday, July 5.
