Weather Delays Update - Evacuation Lifted at El Paso, Texas
As an update to a previous advisory concerning the evacuation of El Paso, Texas, the Army Corps of Engineers lifted the evacuation order at 3:00 p.m. CT Friday, August 4, 2006.
The El Paso Intermodal Facility and Train Yard have returned to service. The El Paso Hub will resume normal gate operations at 8:00 a.m. CT Saturday, August 5, 2006. BNSF will continue to monitor traffic that is enroute to El Paso. Loads destined to El Paso will be held at origin through the weekend.
Normal service routes are expected to re-open Monday, August 7, 2006.
Customers may experience delays up to 48 hours on traffic moving through this corridor.
