Track Outage - Laguna, New Mexico

At 11:30 p.m. CT Thursday, August 3, 2006, both main tracks at Laguna, New Mexico were taken out of service due to washouts caused by heavy rain. This location is approximately 57 miles west of Belen, New Mexico. Main track two was returned to service at 3:15 a.m. CT Thursday, August 4, 2006. The estimated opening for main track one is 11:00 a.m. CT Thursday, August 4, 2006.

BNSF personnel are on the scene and will continue to work until service is restored.

Customers may experience delays up to 24 hours on traffic moving through this corridor.
