BNSF 2006 Automotive Labor Day Operating Plan
This year the Labor Day Holiday falls on Monday, September 4. Below is a summary of planned operational changes and other helpful information applicable to the upcoming Labor Day holiday.
BNSF will continue to operate Automotive trains over the Labor Day holiday. Traffic that either originates or arrives at destination Saturday, September 2 through noon on Tuesday, September 5, may experience extended destination availabilities of up to 24 hours.
Delays may occur on interline traffic if connecting carriers have reduced operations for the holiday.
Automotive Facility Operations
Please see the attached matrix for hours of operation at all automotive facilities during the holiday period. All automotive facilities will observe normal working hours on the days preceding and following Monday, September 4. Loading and unloading on Labor Day will be performed as required. Please contact your BNSF Automotive Marketing or Customer Support Representative if you anticipate critical service requirements over the holiday.
