As mentioned in a Service Advisory on May 1, 2008, the railway bridge over the Mississippi River at Burlington, Iowa, was struck by a barge.
One main line was restored to service on Friday, May, 2, 2008. The other main line is expected to be returned to service on Sunday, May 4, 2008. Intermodal traffic will continue to be rerouted via Kansas City, KS through Sunday, May 4, 2008. Merchandise traffic originating today will run normal scheduled route.
