Updated Report of Derailment on CSX Near ST. Joseph, IN
On Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 12:01 p.m. Central Time, BNSF received an initial report that a CSX coal train derailed 12 cars near St. Joseph, Indiana, blocking both main tracks. St. Joseph, Indiana is on the CSX Railroad, 200 miles east of Chicago, Illinois located between Garrett, Indiana and Willard, Ohio.
12 loaded coal cars derailed on Garrett Subdivision on CSX causing both Mains to be blocked. Current ETO per CSX is 1400 (Eastern Time)-23rd on Main 1 and Main 2 ETO 1800 (Eastern Time)-23rd.
