Carload Pipeline Reports Arriving with New Rail Central

As mentioned in a bnsf.com Update on November 10, BNSF is working to help you more easily monitor and manage your shipments online. The new Rail Central tool, available later this month on bnsf.com, replaces the current My Reports tool with improved functionality and an updated customer interface.

As part of the Rail Central upgrade, all eDemurrage users will have access to the Carload Pipeline Reports tool and will see a pre-loaded custom report for your facilities. This tool provides you with a real-time view of how many railcars you’ll have at your facility in the days and weeks ahead. With advance notice of that information, you can take action to better manage capacity within your facility and minimize demurrage charges.

The Carload Pipeline Reports tool has been enhanced with user-friendly terminology, facility and contact information, logical groupings by current car status, and actual month-to-date demurrage. You can release, order or divert cars in a few keystrokes with the streamlined functionality that links to other applications within the report tool.

Carload customers are encouraged to review the pipeline report daily to manage their inbound and outbound flow, and then access eDemurrage from the Carload Pipeline Reports tool to manage demurrage charges.

Beginning later this month, Rail Central and Carload Pipeline Reports can be accessed from inside the secure bnsf.com on the new Rail Central tab at the top of your screen. If you do not have access to the secure bnsf.com, you can register at any time by clicking on the “Register” link in the Customer Login box on the BNSF home page.
