Overcharge Claims in Account Status

BNSF’s Account Status tool is the secured interactive Web tool that allows you to electronically pay and dispute freight and miscellaneous invoices. This tool also allows you to file an overcharge claim electronically, and/or check the status of an electronically filed overcharge claim. By using the electronic tool, you no longer have to mail in your paper overcharge claims.

To get started using either overcharge claim feature, log on to BNSF.com and click on Account Status. Then click one of the two overcharge claims links from the main menu:

File Overcharge Claims

To file an overcharge claim, select an account from the drop-down and click the “File Overcharge Claim” link from the Account Status main menu.*

View Overcharge Claims

To review an overcharge claim, select an account from the drop-down and click the “View Overcharge Claim” link from the Account Status main menu.*

*Note: If you only have one account, your account will be listed in place of the drop-down. You will not need to select the account; you will simply click “File Overcharge Claims” or “View Overcharge Claims."

For help with Overcharge Claims, click the “Help” link in Account Status and then click the “Overcharge Claims” link.
