Enhancements Made to Track Your Shipment Tool

Beginning today, you will see enhancements in the Track Your Shipment tool found on bnsf.com and mobile devices. These enhancements were made based on customer feedback and to make the tool more user-friendly.

  • You will now have the ability to search by train (“U” and “J” trains) using the “By Train” tab
  • We’ve added a new Preferences tab to allow you to better control how you use the tool.

  • We’ve also made some visual changes, such as a full-screen results pane, and updates to your history, including expanding saved searches from 10 to 30 and giving you the option to delete previous searches.
  • Users may now enter units with check digits (seventh digit).
The tool may be accessed by logging in to the secure bnsf.com, going to the Applications list and looking in the Trace section for “Track Your Shipment”. If you do not have a bnsf.com login, you may request one at any time by clicking the Register link in the Customer Login section on www.bnsf.com.
