Instant Filters Added to My Reports
BNSF’s My Reports Tool--the secured interactive Web tool that enables you to create and schedule customized reports to trace your shipments--was enhanced on August 17, 2006 with a new "Instant Filters”"feature.
Instant Filters will provide you with the functionality to immediately filter information contained within your report, without adjusting the report’s overall settings. Instant Filters will save you time by making it much easier to find specific information in a timely manner.
Here’s how it works:
After running a report in My Reports:
o You will see a row of buttons located above your report information. The button located on the far right is the new "Filters On" button.
o Simply click the "Filters On" button to activate the Instant Filters. When activated, a new row of drop down boxes will appear under the field headings for the fields that were added to the report.
o To apply a filter to the report, simply select one of the values contained within the drop down box for the corresponding field you wish to narrow. You can sequentially apply multiple filters to the report.
o Clicking "Reset Filters" will remove any filters you have applied to the report using the Instant Filters feature.
o You can turn the filters off by clicking the "Filters Off" button. This will also remove any filters you have applied and return the report back to its original state.
