New No Bill and Rejected Lading Notifications Now Available on bnsf.com
Beginning today, Monday, December 6, 2010, two new customer notifications will be available for subscription on bnsf.com. Carload shippers and receivers can sign up for new “No Bill” and “Rejected Load” notifications, prompting you when cars are released loaded without billing or rejected at destination, and advising you the shipment is in need of new billing.
See details on each of the new notification types below:
· No Bill Notification – This notification sends an alert when a customer’s car is released loaded without billing/destination information. You will be prompted to send billing.
· Rejected Load Notification – This notification sends an alert to the shipper and receiver when a carload shipment is rejected at destination. You will be notified to send new billing on these shipments. Once rejected, cars will continue to dwell until new billing is received, so the notification will help you remedy in a timely manner.
How do I sign up?
Customers must be a registered bnsf.com user to sign up to receive notices by email or to view the notices online. If you do not have access to the secure bnsf.com, you can register at any time by clicking on the “Register” link in the Customer Login box on the BNSF home page.
Email subscriptions can be found on your secure bnsf.com home page inside the Notifications channel, on the “Monitor Shipments” tab. See a sample screenshot.
