Rail Carrier Transactions Tool Now Available on bnsf.com

Beginning today, you will see the Rail Carrier Transactions tool in the secured bnsf.com.

This new tool has been created in an effort to streamline your interactions with regard to requesting the confirmation and/or the re-transmittal of waybills and train consists from BNSF Railway.

The tool has been designed to be user friendly. Users will only need a unit initial/number to retransmit or view the EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) details of a waybill or train consists. Waybills can only be retransmitted if received within the last 24 hours from the current time, and train consist can only be retransmitted if received within the last 48 hours. Access to this information is determined by the rail carrier's standard carrier alpha code (SCAC). For waybills, the SCAC must be in the movement route of the shipping instructions, and for the train consists, the SCAC must show as the recipient that BNSF delivered the EDI to.

In the next few weeks, BNSF Customer Support will no longer manually retransmit this information to our rail partners. During this transition, please have your employees, who currently request this data, register for a bnsf.com login (if they do not already have one) at www.bnsf.com.
