Enhancements to Web Tools - Carload Shipment Status

In an effort to provide our customers with more details around bad order cars, BNSF has added two new fields to the “Shipment Details” tab within the Track Your Shipment and Rail Central tools:

  • Repair Track Placement (Y/N) – indicates whether a car is on a repair track
  • Repair Track Placement Date/Time – indicates when a car is placed on a repair track
These enhancements will give customers more visibility to their cars’ statuses during the bad order process. Once repaired and released, an updated estimated time of arrival will be available.
